Marvelous museum! Awesome displays & theater-quality videos telling the story of the birth of country music & the story of the evolution of the musical instruments used in folk & country music. Friendly staff. Don't miss an opportunity to visit this museum!
One of the best museum experiences we have enjoyed! Allow lots of time and carefully review each venue. There are several opportunities to listen to and watch the performances that shaped the beginnings of this music in our country. This museum is not meant to cover the entire genre of county music. Go on to Nashville if you want a the broader brush (also worth the time) but don't skip this museum!
It was very informative. Love the videos and memorabilia. Would have liked to have seating in the video area where you had to stand. Enjoyed sitting for the other video.
Very informative! The museum is self guided but there is some helpful volunteers that can answer just about any question you can think of. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
The Smitsonian exhibit was great! Very interesting. Overall the museum was really nice. They've done a great job making it informative as well as interactive and fun. The introductory movie was great to get you started on what you'd see through the museum as well as throughout Bristol. My daughter loved it so its good for kids as well. I think if you live in Bristol you should definitely take the time to go.
